WHAT FASCINATES ME WHAT FASCINATES ME IN ARCHITECTURE IN ARCHITECTURE IN ARCHITECTURE
I started my architecture degree following my personal aim to become a worker involved in society. My goal in life was to have a job that helped solving society’s problems and I strongly think that the most important part of architecture is exactly this. I understand architecture as a tool to improve or develop a situation. I feel architecture as the language between technical innovation and people. That is why architects have to understand the place where we develop our projects in order to achieve the best solution.
But the best part of architecture is that you are able to achieve this commitment with society with creativity freedom and that is how you find so many excellent answers to a problem. The capacity of architects to find the best answer in every sense of this word (effectiveness, productivity, sustainability, esthetic…) is what makes this profession so challenging. Now that I have become an architect I understand that you never stop training yourself in order to be able to confront any kind of problem. On the other hand I feel I am ready to start working for people’s necessities and I will fight to reach it.
URBAN DEVELOPMENT URBAN DEVELOPMENT
I would like to focus my career in urban development. An architect nowadays is responsible for more things than design; I feel architects can understand social issues and purpose solutions to that. I think cities can be improved with public engagement and that is why I want to keep learning on this topic and I would love to start a PhD on this topic. I am following also an online course in technology applied to cities and highly related to community engagement, and I think it is an important issue to take into account when talking for example about Smart Cities.
WHAT I EXPECT FROM AETA WHAT I EXPECT FROM AETA I EXPECT FROM AETA
I see this association as a group of people who share the same passion but different point of view about it. By joining it I am sure I would learn different ways to view architect’s duties nowadays as well as many ways to deal with a project. I already join the association in an Eindhoven architecture route and I found what I was expecting, a group of architects willing to learn.

EIXPO – Adaptive Reuse of Nervi Pavilion in Turin (Italy) – New public Space
The aim of this project is to improve the university current situation. By improving the connections and giving a different use to two abandoned buildings a new university web is created. The abandoned buildings are placed in a very important public area in the city, Parco Valentino, and are next to the architecture faculty. The project proposes to locate a new area for the architecture faculty in one building and create a semipublic semiprivate use for the second one (padiglione Nervi). Padiglione Nervi becomes a meeting point ion the university network of the city as well as a new covered public area. This new space is understood as an area where public venues and activities related to university share space.
