Op woensdag 18 december luiden we, net  als in 2012, het jaar uit met een mooie filmavond. Dit keer is het thema Utopia, aansluitend op het komend Forumnummer: een andere kijk opde stad en het landschap.

We laten fragmenten zien uit een aantal films o.a. Utopia London van Tom Cordell.

En we hopen natuurlijk op een goede discussie bij de borrel.

Ontvangst met koffie, thee en taart vanaf 19.30 op de Generaal Vetterstraat 57 in Amsterdam.

Utopia London is director Tom Cordell’s journey in film through the city he grew up in, meeting the architects who designed it, and reuniting them with the buildings they created.

70 years ago, a group of young idealists came together to construct a new world from the ruins of the old. They united around a vision of using science and art to create a city of equal citizens. Their architecture fused William Morris with urban high-rise; ancient parkland with concrete. Today, these buildings remain as relics of their discarded dreams. Follow the film makers journey through the city where he grew up, meeting the architects who designed it, and reuniting them with the buildings they created. It shows how their work once revolutionized life in the city and how it can, today, inspire an optimistic vision of the future.
